EARLIER:Carlos Santana is vowing to change his Evil Ways.
He then mentioned his brother Dave Chapelle, who has also made somecontroversialremarks ontransgender issues.
Today, Santana posted to his Facebook page in an effort to make amends.
They dont reflect that I want to honor and respect all persons (sic) ideals and beliefs.
I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent.
I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended, his statement continued.
This is the planet of free will and we have all been given this gift.
