The response wasnt so positive.
Though just about everybody acknowledges that change is happening, they also remain optimistic about the future.

There are the same number of roles per movie.
Its not like youre going to see fewer roles per show.
Were going through a natural correction of the business.

And will the number of series being produced go up?
But I dont think panic needs to ensue.
Weve been in-between projects for a little while.
It feels that the temperature of the community is that there are fewer roles and lesser projects in production.
It feels like a challenging time for actors.
So for me, Im not seen a slowdown.
And its like, no, unless you were already in something thats about to ramp back up.
I think that its just a little slow on the uptake.
Destiny Lilly(CSA president): Were still hiring a lot of actors.
I think that things fluctuate and we have to see.
Weve been through a pandemic and weve been through strikes, so we have to see whats coming next.
So I believe that things will start to self-regulate and get better, but so much has changed.
I know its hard for actors.
I sympathize with them.

And Im like, this is the way its been for a little while now.
So I think were all in recovery mode.
I dont think that we should be afraid.
I think that work will come back because there are so many incredible storytellers.
Its just that it might not be business as usual.
We might have to get creative.
So yes, I think right now there are less jobs.
Do I think its going to be forever?
I think its a temporary thing.
Most people would agree that its taking a while for the business to get back to enormous state.
All my friends are actors and theyre all panicked.
Theyre losing their insurance.
Im a major therapist now.
At the beginning of December, before Christmas, there was a lot of activity.
This industry has to take a deep breath.
I think its going to come back, just like the stock market always falls back.
Theres a contraction and then its got to move forward.
So in the end, they do need product, right?
They cant do it without us.
They cant do it without the writers.
We cant do it without the producers, the publicists and the casting people.
So I think we just have to be supportive where we can.
Im confident that industrys going to come back.
But, Im just an actor.
