When theOscar shortlist of feature documentarieswas announced in December, it was dominated by films that premiered at theSundanceFilm Festival films likeGoing to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project,The Eternal Memory,Beyond UtopiaandA Still Small Voice.
The shortlist announcement provided the latest evidence of the festivals status as the prime launchpad for the best in documentary filmmaking and whets the appetite for the upcoming 40thedition of Sundance, which starts Thursday.
