White suggested his original idea and realized it could be produced safely in a bubble.

He thought, What if we go to a hotel?
I thought we would do it in Palm Springs but it was cheaper to shoot in Hawaii.
The cast were staying there, and no one else was staying in the hotel.
Bloys said season 2 had proven the viability ofThe White Lotus anthology-style format with new cast each time.
Its great that he gets to cast new actors each time, he added.
Generally speaking, that is the kind of thing you want to leave to the creator, said Bloys.
Jesse felt it was the right ending.
But if he said, Ive got two more seasons, I would have said, Okay, good.
