For a long time, there was a very stereotypical representation of what autism looked like in traditional media.
And the American series that weve been producing is so true to what we originally created.
We dont interrupt them with interviews that we shoot later on that then help us to tell a story.

DEADLINE: How did you find the cast?
We actually put out a call ourselves.
Could you talk about having that connection to the cast?

Thats definitely a moment I think people really resonate with in the series.
But when theres a break and someone leaves the table, hes just checking in with them.
Its like having a wingman with you really.
OCLERY: Representation and understanding has really changed a lot in recent years.
They dont see it as a disability.
The spectrums really wide.
