The Muppets were just one part of Jim Hensons astonishing body of work.
I had met him briefly.
I knew people who knew him very well, who held him in such high esteem.
And I knew he was passionate about his work; everyone knew that.
But I also got to see that the creativity for him never stopped.
It existed in his home movies.
It existed in all of his drawings.
It existed in his notebooks, that werent sketches for design necessarily.
They were just him keeping track of things.
And even those were reflections of this creative energy.
And it just dazzled me.
And honestly, I wanted to celebrate it.
I wanted to get to the bottom of what made him tick.
Jim Henson Idea Manwill debut on Disney+ on May 31, following itsworld premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
The documentary explores roads taken and not taken by Henson, including a never-realized plan to launch nightclubs.
