Currently in theaters via Sony Pictures Classics and Stage 6 Films,The Persian Versioncenters on Leila (Layla Mohammadi), an aspiring Iranian American filmmaker who reunites with her family in New York City amidst her fathers heart transplant, coming into conflict with her mother when a personal secret is revealed.
Drawing strong reviews out of Sundance 2023, where it laid claim to the fests Audience Award and Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award, the film has Noor portraying Leilas conservative mother, Shireen.
