Sony Pictures Classicsannounced on Wednesday that it will releaseNathan Silvers acclaimed comedyBetween the Temples, starringJason Schwartzman(Asteroid City) andCarol Kane(The Dead Dont Die), in theaters nationwide on August 23.
The film will open against Zoe Kravitzs debut featureBlink Twice(Amazon MGM Studios), the animated pic200% Wolf(Viva Pictures), the remake ofThe Crowstarring Bill Skarsgard (Lionsgate), and the dramaThe Forgefrom Affirm Films.

Struggling to meet the expectations of his rabbi, congregation, and not one but two Jewish mothers (Caroline Aaron and Dolly de Leon), Ben finds his world turned upside down when his grade school music teacher re-enters his life as an adult bat mitzvah student.Silver and C. Mason Wells wrote the script for the pic, which also stars Robert Smigel (Leo), Madeline Weinstein (Beach Rats), and Matthew Shear (Mistress America).
The film is produced by Tim Headington, Theresa Steele Page, and Nate Kamiya on behalf of Ley Line Entertainment, Adam Kersh of Fusion Entertainment, and Taylor Hess.
