Upon arrival, officers located a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

On Tuesday night, Rasheeda Williams was shot and killed in Atlanta.
I createdKokomo Citybecause I wanted to show the fun, humanized, natural side of Black trans women.
I wanted to create images that didnt show the trauma or the statistics of murder of Transgender lives.

I wanted to create something fresh and inspiring.
But here we are again.
To show how beautiful and full of life she was.
She will inspire generations to come and will never be forgotten.
This is the third shooting of transgender women in Atlanta this year, two of which resulted in fatalities.
Cast member Dominique Silver wrote on Instagram, My sister you are gone but you will NEVER be forgotten.
Silver describes an incident in which a client grew angry after discovering she was trans and beat her.
To know Koko, was to love Koko.
She was the sweetest, kindest and gentlest soul.
This tragedy is just unbearable to process.
So there was no one to interfere with that process.
I mean, literally, before opportunity came, it was survival.
And so thats how we survived.
AGoFundMecampaign has been set up for Rasheeda Williams to cover her funeral expenses.
As of Friday midday it has raised $10,556 of a $15,000 goal.
