BLKFAM, a new free, ad-supported streaming service created by digital marketing Larry Adams, launches today withWhoopi Goldbergas an equity partner.
The streamer says it fills a major gap in the market as the first and only Black-owned, Black-focused family streaming platform.
It starts with a content library of 20+ syndicated series, 1,000+ hours of new animation titles including dozens of new animated characters of color and diverse gender experiences and hundreds of hours of original music driven content.

Ten new original live action and animated series are in development to premiere on the platform throughout the year, the streamer said, along with investigative journalism and news, fitness and wellness series, Black history, sitcoms and reality shows, all through the lens of the Black experience.

Goldberg has signed on as equity partner alongside Tom Leonardis, president of her entertainment venture Whoop, Inc., and will be steering the creative development of various programming exclusive to the platform.

BLKFAM is now available on iOS, Android, Amazon Prime Video Channels, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, YouTube TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Vizio, and LG.
