DEADLINE:Tell me about Star, what was the journey to creating that character?

As we were watching several versions of the movie, we just realized its not the right thing.
Its not the essence, and its not as great as it could be.
Let all the acting come from the animators, let them do what they do best.

DEADLINE:What were some of the big challenges with making this film?
VEERASUNTHORN: I would say the big challenge is to achieve this look.
That was our wish, to honor the past while combining the technology of the future.
And it hasnt been easy.
BUCK: Another thing was the wish bubbles.
Luckily, it looks kind of effortless on screen, but it was extremely difficult to get that look.
That was one of the challenges that we didnt even know was going to be that hard.
But then our effects team and everybody worked really hard.
What was the name of that group?
VEERASUNTHORN:The Bubble Task Force.
